Dear Host Family,
Hello! I’m from the Philippines, and I’m a licensed Respiratory Therapist. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy and passed the Philippine Respiratory Therapist Licensure Examination in February 2026. My healthcare background has helped me develop patience, responsibility, attentiveness, and compassion when caring for others.
I completed Basic Life Support (BLS) training through the Philippine Heart Association, which strengthened my knowledge of CPR and responding to emergencies. I also completed several TESDA Online Program courses, including Assisting Client in Administering Prescribed Medication, Assisting in the Management of Infectious Disease, Practicing COVID-19 Preventive Measures in the Workplace, and Using English Expressions Related to Areas of Most Immediate Need.
During my clinical training at the Philippine Heart Center, Saint Louis University–Sacred Heart Medical Center, and Cebu Doctors’ University Hospital, I gained experience caring for patients in different clinical settings, including adult, pediatric, and neonatal care. I learned the importance of following safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness, communicating clearly, and staying calm in challenging situations. Although my medical background is not a substitute for professional childcare experience, I believe these skills can help me become a careful, attentive, and responsible AuPair.
Outside healthcare, I grew up helping my family with our small business, household chores, and farm responsibilities. These experiences taught me to be hardworking, independent, organized, and willing to help wherever I am needed. I also value kindness, respect, and strong family relationships, which are important parts of my Filipino upbringing.
I want to become an AuPair because I look forward to learning about another culture, improving my communication skills, and becoming a trusted and helpful member of a host family. I would love to share Filipino traditions and learn about yours while helping create a safe, happy, and supportive environment for your children. I am open to guidance, willing to learn your family’s routines, and committed to respecting your parenting preferences.
I may still have much to learn about your family’s way of life, but I am eager to grow, adapt, and make this experience meaningful for everyone. I hope to build a relationship with a host family based on trust, respect, understanding, and wonderful memories.
