hi, my name is Zean, I'm 18 years old and from Indonesia. I recently finished high school and I'm passionate about learning new language and connecting with new cultures. I love spending time with children and I'm excited about the opportunity to become part of a host family. Please feel free to look on my profile below to get to know me better.
My first language is Indonesian, and I speak English fluently. I've been learning German in a German course for 4 months and have reached level A2. I hold an ÖSD A1 certificate, and now I to learn B1 by myself. I'm also excited to improve my language skills and communicate with people from different backgrounds.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, hiking, cycling, cooking simple meals, hanging out with friends, drawing, crafting, and doing puzzles or Lego, and trying new things. Sometimes on weekends i also join volunteer activities. I also really love animals, especially cats.
I'm a creative and easygoing person who loves playing and having fun with kids I've taken care of two little kids, aged 2 and 4, who are my friend's children and only speak English. She also shared some of her parenting approach with me along the way. I also sometimes play with the children of customers at my mother's salon, and I volunteered with children at an orphanage, helping with drawing activities and a handicraft-making program. I'm always willing to learn, help, and gain more experience with children.
I'm hoping for an open and supportive host family experience where I can improve my German, spend meaningful time with the children, and feel like part of the family. I also hope this experience helps me become more open-minded, independent, and gives me a better understanding of parenting and childcare.
