Hello, dear Host Family! My name is Iris Jean, and I am 27 years old from Davao Oriental, Philippines. I am very happy to introduce myself to you and share a little about my life, personality, experiences, and dreams. I hope that through this letter, you will get to know me better and see the kind of person I am and the love and dedication I can bring to your family as an au pair.

I would describe myself as a caring, responsible, patient, cheerful, and hardworking person. I enjoy meeting new people, learning new things, and adapting to different environments. I believe that respect, honesty, kindness, and open communication are important in building good relationships. I may sometimes be quiet when meeting someone for the first time, but once I feel comfortable, I enjoy sharing stories, laughing, and spending quality time with others. I am also willing to learn from my mistakes and accept guidance because I believe that every experience helps me grow into a better person.

One of the reasons I want to become an au pair is my love for children. I have experience caring for my younger siblings and helping take care of my niece from birth until the present whenever my family needs me. I have also helped look after my cousin when their parents were away and babysat a friend's young daughter. These experiences have helped me understand that caring for children requires patience, attention, responsibility, and a loving heart. I enjoy spending time with children, playing with them, helping them learn, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. Regarding my education, I graduated with a Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Technology in June 2024. After graduating, I gained professional experience in different fields. I worked as a Telecom Dispatcher, where I developed communication and coordination skills. I also worked as a Front Desk Receptionist, which helped me improve my customer service, patience, and ability to interact with different people. Currently, I work as a Housekeeping Manager at Cuabo Vista Resort. This position has taught me to be organized, responsible, dependable, and attentive to details. My work experience has helped me become more independent and confident in handling different responsibilities, qualities that I believe will be useful in supporting your family's childcare needs.

Outside of work, I enjoy singing, dancing, and trying different sports. I love activities that allow me to express myself, stay active, and discover new interests. I also enjoy learning about other cultures, meeting people from different backgrounds, and experiencing new things. I would be happy to share Filipino traditions, food, celebrations, and simple words from my language with your family while learning about French culture, traditions, and everyday life. I am especially excited about the possibility of learning more French and becoming more confident communicating in another language.
