I am a warm, patient, responsible, and enthusiastic person who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and supporting them as they grow. Caring for my younger siblings has taught me how to be dependable, attentive, and patient. It has also helped me understand that every child has a unique personality, individual needs, and different ways of expressing themselves. Through this experience, I have learned the importance of listening carefully, remaining calm, and providing children with encouragement and reassurance.
I have also volunteered in a kindergarten, where I gained experience supporting children during learning activities, supervised play, social interaction, and daily routines. This opportunity helped me become more comfortable working with children in a group setting and taught me how to encourage cooperation, creativity, and positive behaviour. I enjoyed helping children participate in activities while ensuring that they felt included, safe, and supported.
My studies in Counseling Psychology, especially my knowledge of child development, have helped me understand children's cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth. I enjoy engaging children in age-appropriate activities such as storytelling, drawing, colouring, singing, creative play, puzzles, and educational games. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, listened to, encouraged, and respected. I also value positive discipline, kindness, clear communication, and helping children gradually build confidence and independence.
I would describe myself as trustworthy, adaptable, open-minded, organised, and eager to learn. I understand that every family has its own routines, values, and expectations, and I am willing to communicate openly and adapt respectfully. I am excited about the opportunity to become part of a host family, support parents with childcare, and experience a new culture and way of life. I would also love to improve my language skills, learn from my host family, and build genuine, meaningful relationships with them.
As an au pair, I hope to provide loving, attentive, and reliable care while contributing positively to the family's daily routine.
