Introduction
Habari yako ?? This is how we say How are you? in Swahili, one of the languages spoken in my beautiful home country, Kenya.
My name is Sahara, and I come from Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. I am a friendly, caring, patient and responsible young woman who enjoys learning, meeting people from different backgrounds and making a positive difference wherever I go. I am excited about becoming an au pair because I see it as an opportunity to support a family, build meaningful relationships, experience a new culture and grow personally and professionally.
A little about me
I come from a large family, which has taught me the importance of patience, sharing, cooperation and looking out for one another. I appreciate that everyone has a different personality and needs to feel understood, respected and included. Family means a lot to me, and I would love to become part of a home where kindness, trust and communication are valued.
I genuinely enjoy spending time with children. I would happily play games with them, listen to their little stories, help with homework, read together or find fun and creative activities to keep them engaged. I believe children need more than supervision; they need encouragement, consistency, patience and someone who takes a genuine interest in their happiness and development.
I have also worked as an English tutor, which has helped me develop my communication skills and understand that everyone learns differently. I would be happy to support your children's learning, help with schoolwork and make educational activities enjoyable while also encouraging play, creativity and independence.
My education and professional life
I completed high school and pursued studies in Cybersecurity and Forensic Studies. I currently work in an administrative role, where I continue to develop my organizational, communication and time-management skills. My experience as an English tutor has also strengthened my patience, adaptability and ability to explain things clearly.
I am an ambitious person with dreams for my future. I hope to save towards further education and eventually pursue a master's degree. I believe that working, learning and experiencing different cultures can help me grow into a more capable and independent person. I would approach an au pair placement with commitment, maturity and an open mind.
What I can bring to your family
I am willing to learn your family's routines, respect your parenting style and adapt to your household's needs. I can help with children's daily routines, homework, playtime, age-appropriate activities and keeping their belongings organized. I am also happy to help with reasonable household tasks related to family life.
I consider myself a quick learner who is willing to take initiative while understanding when to ask questions. I value honesty, punctuality, respect and reliability, and I believe trust is built through everyday actions.
I would also love to share a little of Kenya with your family through our food, stories, traditions, humor and, of course, some Swahili! At the same time, I look forward to discovering your culture, learning about your family's traditions and experiencing everyday life in a new country.
Why I want to become an au pair
For me, becoming an au pair is about much more than travelling. It is about being welcomed into a family's daily life, contributing positively to children's development and experiencing another culture from the inside.
I am willing to relocate internationally for the right opportunity, with clear expectations and lawful arrangements that work for both the family and me. I hope to find a host family that values kindness, open communication, mutual respect and cultural exchange.
I know that family life is not always perfect, and I do not expect every day to be easy. What matters to me is being able to communicate honestly, learn from one another and work together to create a happy, supportive environment.
Most importantly, I hope to find a family that will welcome me not just as an au pair, but as a trusted and helpful part of their household. In return, I will bring warmth, responsibility, enthusiasm and a genuine willingness to contribute.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about me. I would love to get to know your family, hear about your children and discover whether we could be a wonderful match.
I look forward to hearing from you
Warm regards,
Sahara
