Dear Family,

My name is Eva Melisa, and I am a Spanish professional with an international background and extensive experience in childcare, private households, luxury hospitality, guest relations, and management. I have lived and worked abroad for many years, including in the United Kingdom and Switzerland, which has made me very comfortable adapting to different cultures, environments, and family dynamics.

Childcare has been an important part of my experience for many years. I have three years of volunteer experience working in a nursery, where I cared for children from 18 months old. This experience gave me a strong understanding of young children's routines, emotional needs, development, play, safety, and, above all, the importance of creating a caring, stable, and secure environment for them.

During the years I lived in England, alongside my main professional roles, I regularly worked additional hours providing childcare for different families. I have also worked as a childcare provider in Spain, which has given me experience caring for children in different family environments and cultural settings.

In addition, I have experience working within private households, including as a nanny and Lady’s Maid, as well as several years of experience in luxury hospitality and management. These roles have taught me the importance of discretion, trust, organisation, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to anticipate the needs of those around me.

During my time in the United Kingdom, I also studied Creative Writing, which is one of my greatest passions. I am very proud to have turned this passion into a particularly special project: publishing a children's novel inspired by my own experiences living in the Swiss Alps. Writing for children has allowed me to bring together two important parts of my personality: creativity and my connection with children. I love encouraging children's imagination through storytelling, reading, games, and creative activities.

I currently work in a management position within a luxury boutique accommodation, where I am responsible for the day-to-day operation of the property, guest experience, reservations, organisation, suppliers, team coordination, and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. This experience has made me highly organised, proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions independently.

When working with children, I consider myself caring, patient, responsible, and attentive. I enjoy creating a positive environment where children feel safe and comfortable while encouraging their independence, curiosity, and creativity. I am also very conscious that every family has its own parenting style, routines, and values, and I believe it is essential to respect these and work closely with the parents.

I am comfortable assisting with children's daily routines, preparing and organising activities, school or nursery routines, appointments, outings, travel preparation, organising their belongings, and all the practical aspects of family life. I am also happy to assist with errands, bookings, household organisation, and other Family Assistant responsibilities when required.

I particularly enjoy outdoor activities and leading an active lifestyle. I love skiing and the mountains, as well as cycling, ice skating, climbing, photography, and spending time in nature. Having previously lived in Verbier, I am also familiar with life in a ski resort and the lifestyle and organisation that come with it. I would be delighted to share my enthusiasm for outdoor activities, reading, storytelling, and creativity with the children I care for.

I am a native Spanish speaker and speak English confidently. I hold a full driving licence and have my own car. I normally travel with my own vehicle, as having my own transport is important to me and allows me to remain independent and mobile during my personal time.

However, when transporting children as part of my professional responsibilities, I prefer to use a vehicle provided by the family. I believe this is the most appropriate arrangement in terms of insurance, maintenance, and professional responsibility, while also keeping the use of my personal vehicle separate from work-related transportation.

Above all, I am looking for a position with a family where there can be mutual trust, respect, good communication, and stability. For me, working with a family is not simply about completing a list of duties; it is about becoming someone they can genuinely rely on and making a positive contribution to their everyday lives.
